As Executive Vice President & Chief Legal & Risk Officer of Whataburger Restaurants, Elena Kraus skillfully balances risk and opportunity to guide the company’s strategic decisions. She leads a dedicated team responsible for all aspects of legal governance, compliance, and risk for Whataburger, a 1,200-unit, 17-state restaurant brand recognized for having the highest average unit volume (AUV) in the QSR burger segment.  Prior to joining Whataburger, Elena served as Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of Walgreens.

In addition to conducting our annual election, the Coalition leadership will provide an overview of the Coalition's work and growth in 2026 including a review of our programming over the last year.

Our new leadership team will outline our goals and plans for 2027, including ways we may better serve the professional goals of our members. We will also highlight the important work of the Coalition's Committees and will be available to answer questions and discuss our plans for next year.
