Come join the DC Chapter of the Coalition of Womens Initiatives in Law for an in-person lunch, discussion and "watch party" of the virtual showing for "An Important Conversation with Dr. Elizabeth Comen" at Jackson & Campbell, P.C. The program will dive into the importance of why women should listen to their own bodies and how to navigate the healthcare system. The Doctor is In! Join us for an important conversation with Elizabeth Comen, M.D., a medical historian and oncologist specializing in breast cancer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and an Associate Professor of Medicine at NYU. Dr. Comen has dedicated her medical career to saving the lives of women and written the acclaimed best seller All in Her Head: The Truth and Lies Early Medicine Taught Us About Women’s Bodies and Why It Matters spotlighting the unbelievable yet totally believable wrongs of medicine’s dismissal of women’s health throughout the centuries. Dr. Comen will discuss her incredible book which is both illuminating and eerily relevant to issues of today. Dr. Comen has been featured on Good Morning America, CBS news, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and more, encouraging women to demand answers of their doctors and not accept “it’s all in your head.” Don’t miss this program which will be moderated by NY Chapter President Elizabeth Eilender. Your future you will thank you.
