Deborah’s Place, the largest provider of permanent supportive housing for unaccompanied women in Chicago, serves over 600 women annually. Its goal is that once a woman comes to Deborah’s Place, she will never be homeless again. Among its services is a volunteer-led monthly Birthday Jubilee celebrating residents' birthdays. There are two different ways our Coalition members can volunteer to help the women of Deborah’s Place!

DONATE! You can donate local fast food gift cards or small toiletries (shampoo, face cream, cosmetics, etc.) by bringing them to:

Irwin IP, 150 N. Wacker, Suite 700, Chicago, IL 60606 (ATTN: Lisa Holubar) OR

Neal Gerber, 2 N. La Salle St., Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60602 (ATTN: Tanvi Patel)

You can also donate birthday party supplies from the Deborah’s Place Amazon Wish List. Please note in the message that it is for the Coalition’s November 6th Jubilee. Alternatively, make an online monetary donation to Deborah’s Place, indicating you are with the Coalition.

HOST! On November 6th, we need 10 volunteer/hosts for the Birthday Jubilee Party from 10:30-1:30pm. Hosts will bundle gift bags, hand out gifts and food, and play games with residents. Please register to host at this link.

We hope to involve as many of our members as we can in this worthwhile event!
