Neurodiversity Demystified: Key Concepts for Law Firm Professionals
Join the DC Chapter and Amicus Coaching for a webinar (CLE credit pending) on neurodiversity in the workplace with Julie Caron Remer. This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of neurodivergence in the law firm setting. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the experiences, challenges, and unique strengths neurodivergent individuals bring to the legal profession. We will also discuss when and why neurodivergence can become more challenging in the law firm setting and typical ways the firm or supervising attorneys can help set neurodivergent attorneys up for success, as well as tools neurodivergent attorneys can use to help themselves. This session will focus on practical strategies and real-world examples that emphasize empathy, collaboration, inclusion, and the true value of embracing neurodiversity within law firms.
More information on our speaker: Julie Caron Remer, JD Active in the California legal community since 1998, Julie Remer has successfully advised attorneys on a range of topics including leadership, management, communication, utilizing mentorship and sponsorship opportunities, business development, career transition, and thriving with neurodiversity. Prior to her coaching work, Julie was a litigator with McKenna Long & Aldridge (now Dentons) and practiced at several recognized regional law firms in Southern California. A graduate of UCLA School of Law, Julie is admitted to the State Bar of California. She completed her coach training with the Coaches Training Institute, (CTI), the oldest and largest coach training program in the world, and trained to coach neurodiverse people with the late Carol Gignoux, a pioneer in the field of ADHD coaching and author of Your Innovator Brain: The Truth about ADHD. Julie is a mom to two neurodiverse teenagers and was diagnosed with ADHD herself as an adult.
