ABOUT THIS TALK

Burnout isn't a workload problem — it's a brain and nervous system problem. Former litigation attorney and burnout coach Sammy Catone reveals why high-achievers burn out and why everything you've tried hasn't worked — using neuroscience to explain what's happening beneath the surface.

Key takeaways include:

✓ Understanding the neuroscience behind a dysregulated nervous system

✓ Identifying the subconscious beliefs and survival strategies driving your burnout

✓ Distinguishing self-worth from self-confidence and learning how to break the invisible

ceiling on your health, finances, and fulfillment

✓ How to reduce anxiety and depression and find more meaning and purpose

✓ Practical daily rituals to start rewiring your brain and nervous system

More About Our Presenter

Sammy knows what it costs to be a high achiever. After nearly a decade as a litigation attorney, she found herself fighting for her life — not burned out in the way people casually use the word, but severely ill, with her body giving out. From the outside, she looked like someone who had it together. On the inside, she was quietly suffering. She saw specialists, optimized every area of her life, and tried every evidence-based technique she could find. Nothing worked — until she started examining the root cause: her belief system, self-worth, and identity. She began studying neuroscience and applying the principles of neuroplasticity to rewire her brain and nervous system. She healed — and found a level of joy and fulfillment she didn't think was possible. That experience is the foundation of everything she teaches.

The Coalition of Women's Initiatives in Law is a non-profit membership association that brings together female attorneys from law firms, companies and other organizations in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. in order to serve the professional development and networking needs of its members.
